Urology Austin believes that while PSA is not a perfect test, it is still a good test, and the best indicator of prostate cancer that we have today. We encourage all men over 50 to have an annual PSA screen. Men under 40+ with a family history of prostate cancer and African-American men should also have regular PSA exams. All men over 40 should start a dialog with their physician or urologist about their prostate health and decide what is right for them.
