As one of the largest and most experienced urology practices in the United States – and the largest in the metro Austin area – Urology Austin has grown dramatically since its formation in 2008. Today, we have more than 50 healthcare providers serving patients at 18 locations across the area. Through these years of rapid expansion, we have always put patients at the center of everything we do, while working to support responsible growth and ensure positive patient experiences.
In recent months, the business development team’s primary focus has been on developing and implementing systems and processes that empower our patients to access what they need, when they need it. This month, patients who contact our practice for information or appointments may notice several changes that are designed to improve their experience with Urology Austin.
- Easier appointment scheduling, by phone and through our online patient portal
- Faster access to reach the right person when you call any of our offices
- Swift response to your messages, whether by phone or through portal messaging
The new systems and processes that support these capabilities are part of our long-term plan for responsible growth. Some of these technology and process updates are long overdue, and others are new innovations to keep us at the front of technology. All of them have been put into place to ensure that your experience with us reflects our absolute commitment to providing the best possible urology care available, from compassionate, caring professionals.
Another way we support that commitment is to ensure that we have skilled clinical staff in the right locations to support growing demand for the services we provide. To that end, we will soon welcome a new board certified urology specialist at one of our busiest offices.
Bethany Burge, MD, is joining our team from her prior role as a urologist in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Dr. Burge treats both men and women, and has special interest and skill in urological surgery, stress urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction. She will begin seeing patients in our south office location at our Radam Lane office starting December 1, 2023.
It is our privilege to serve the Austin community, and I thank you for choosing Urology Austin as your provider of choice for urological care.
