Marcia O’Brien received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler in May 2016. As an advanced practice provider with Urology Austin, Marcia is supervised by
Brett Baker, MD, Jeffrey Kocurek, MD, Michael McClelland, MD and Herb Singh, MD. As a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Marcia is licensed to evaluate patients, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, manage patient care, and perform specific in-office procedures. Marcia loves to educate patients on kidney stone and urinary tract infection prevention, along with providing collaborative management for female and male incontinence, voiding dysfunction, and general male sexual health issues.
Prior to becoming a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Marcia spent several years at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center as a float nurse for women’s services. She also worked as a float nurse in many specialties including medical-surgical, telemetry, neurology, orthopedics, post-partum, and neonatology at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital of Southeast Texas.
In her spare time, she loves to cook and bake, travel, swim, and spending time with her son, family, and close friends.
