The Urology Austin team has spent the last several weeks working on process changes for every touchpoint where patients reach out to us, whether it’s by phone, email or through our patient portal. Our number one goal with this initiative has been to make it easier and faster for you to get the help that you need.
New processes are now in place to optimize patient access, and over the next two months, we will be focusing on an intense education and retraining of our entire staff to ensure that these new processes are implemented effectively and efficiently. I thank you for your patience as our entire team continues our work toward improving your patient experience.
We now have an estimated “go live” date for our new surgery center: July 2024. Located right off of MoPac Expressway near Highway 183, the building will also house the Urology Austin laboratory as well as new consolidated offices for two of our larger clinics: Medical Park Tower and our Jollyville location. We expect the consolidated clinics to go live prior to the opening of the new surgery center, and of course will keep you informed as we move closer to the move-in date.
I’m also excited to let you know that Dr. Rachel Sosland delivered a beautiful baby boy on Sunday, March 26. She’s now out on maternity leave, so her patients will be taken care of by one of our other excellent physicians until she returns in mid-June.
As always, I welcome your feedback. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at Craig.Ortego@urologyaustin.com.
