Meet Dr. Robyn Roberts, a new face at Urology Austin
Urology Austin is home to many talented doctors who are passionate about helping patients overcome problems ranging from kidney stones to an enlarged prostate. We are proud to announce that Dr. Robyn Roberts is the newest physician to join our practice.
While Dr. Roberts is new to Urology Austin, she isn’t new to the practice of medicine. This Austin urologist has worked both at a hospital and in private practice. This experience means patients will receive exceptional care when they visit this caring and talented doctor.
Getting to know Dr. Roberts a little better
Dr. Robyn Roberts went around the United States for her education and training. She earned her Bachelor of Science in biology from Portland State University in Oregon. After undergrad, Dr. Roberts attended Louisiana State University in New Orleans and discovered her passion for urology.
“Urology is such an exciting field because you get to do a little bit of everything. As a physician, you get to focus on everything from direct patient care to robotic surgery to help improve the lives of your patients. It’s a fascinating and rewarding field,” Dr. Roberts explains.
To become a urologist, Dr. Roberts completed her urology residency at the University of Texas in Galveston. She then worked as an assistant professor at the University of Texas and treated patients as a physician. She has worked at Regional Health Rapid City Hospital in South Dakota and in private practice at South Land Urology.
Today, this Austin urologist offers diagnosis and treatment for urology issues. She also has a special interest in several specific areas of urology.
- Reconstructive surgery
- Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), or enlarged prostate, treatment
- Female and male incontinence treatment
- Erectile dysfunction (ED)
Dr. Robyn Roberts keeps busy outside of her work as a urologist
When this Austin urologist isn’t busy treating patients, she works in the aesthetics space providing fillers and injections. “It’s a great creative outlet and an opportunity to help people feel better in a different way,” she explains.
Dr. Robyn Roberts is a mother of four boys who keep her on her toes. However, she still finds time to do her favorite things, including spending time outside, riding her motorcycle, wake surfing, watching F1 racing and traveling internationally.
