Erica Villanueva is an Overactive Bladder Patient Navigator at Urology Austin

Erica Villanueva is a Patient Navigator with five years of experience in the field of Urology. Erica joined our practice as a Medical Assistant after graduating from the Southern Careers Institute (2006) here in Austin, and was promoted to a Surgery Scheduler in 2019.

As an Overactive Bladder (OAB) Patient Navigator, Erica’s role is to help OAB patients understand their diagnosis, initiate and coordinate communication between the patient and their provider, guide the patient through the appropriate care pathway, and help facilitate scheduling appointments.

Erica is native to Austin, but has traveled the world with her children and military husband. During this time, she dedicated herself to supporting the military and military families by volunteering at installation base hospitals. She also served as a Red Cross Case Manager overseeing numerous duties. These included being an overseas contact between military personnel and their state-side families, as well as a Deployment-New Comer Briefer and Speaker. This led her family to volunteering with the Wounded Warrior program. Erica also coordinated on base blood drives where she became a full time phlebotomist.

As an Overactive Bladder Patient Navigator, Erica looks forward to assisting patients who struggle with OAB symptoms.
