During my 40+ years of practicing medicine I have referred patients to many specialists and I feel qualified to recommend the best for my patients. Today’s visit with Dr. Giesler was a great experience . His staff is friendly but his professionalism, knowledge and communication skills are beyond reproach. He gives me some hope for his generation of physicians. He is empathetic and answers all questions with authority. He is up to date on all new modalities besides surgery. I always learned from my patient reviews and now I pass it forward. May he be an example to his generation of physicians. I did not receive special treatment . This is his nature and I am grateful to be in his care. It is without reservation that I highly recommend him.

Professional and empathetic
Prostate Biopsy was a new experience. All members of Urology Austin were friendly, uplifting, professional and empathetic. They all made the experience as pleasant as possible. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Giesler. He has a lifelong patient, he is a personable, state of the art professional that is great at putting his patients (at least me) at ease.

I had an MRI guided prostate biopsy with Dr. Giesler. Having a biopsy is never a fun experience, however, Dr. Giesler was the most attentive, informative and caring Dr. I have ever had in any interface or setting. Everything was explained before, during and after the procedure. I felt he really cared about my situation. I was panicked beyond belief before the experience, Dr. Giesler's bedside manner and approach was beyond my expectations. Thank you Dr. Giesler.

I drove all the way from Midland,TX to see Dr. Giesler. That is a 6 hour drive. The quality of people at this facility is hands down better that the offices here in Midland where I live. The nurse was just as professional and friendly as the doctor. Urology Austin remembers that the patients are people. That is important to me!

Dr. Eric Giesler and his staff are the absolute VERY BEST!!!!! Drove 10 hours from Ruidoso, NM to see him for a follow-up (post-kidney cancer surgery). Well worth the drive! No wait to see the doctor and a very well educated and courtesy staff. I will be back!

I was very pleased with how my biopsy was done. I was given enough Xanax to relax me. They waited the right amount of time to allow it to kick in and Dr. Giesler was excellent at telling me what was occurring as it was occurring. The staff was very upbeat and patient oriented. If you have to have a biopsy, this is the place to have it done.

I had a tumor in my prostate that was cancerous (Gleason 7) and Dr. Giesler suggested the best way to take care of this was to freeze the tumor rather than under go radiation of the prostate. The operation was a total success, took no more than 3 hours (including recuperation) and it was pain free. The recovery time was 4 days due to having to have a catheter. I felt great after the first 24 hours and never looked back.

This Team is the best. The staff are extremely helpful with scheduling and referrals and Dr. Giesler basically saved my life. When no one else could find my cancer, he was able to quickly locate it, provide numerous options for treatment and he did the surgery. He is passionate about his profession and I've never felt he was in a hurry to go on to the next patient. I you think you need a specialist or a second opinion, you just found them.

As usual, Dr. Giesler and his team of professionals determined during a six month follow-up examination that lithotripsy was the best way to finally eliminate a kidney stone that was poised to create havoc in my left kidney. The procedure was scheduled, the operation performed seamlessly and the follow-up stent removal surprisingly quick and painless! His team always has time to listen and respond with helpful and practical advice. I LOVE my doctor and his support staff.
